Organising Committee is proud to announce that the inaugural Cape Town Ribfest will run over the Heritage Day ("Braai Day") weekend from Saturday 24th - Sunday 25th September 2016 at the Pick n Pay Head Office grounds in Kenilworth.
The Ribfest concept originated in the southern states of the USA, offering barbecued ribs, blues music and beer. In Ontario barely a summer weekend passes without a Rotary club somewhere holding a fund-raising Ribfest attended by tens of thousands of people.
The Cape Town Ribfest will feature two solid days of food, music and fun! Our format will be South African, including halaal friendly and non-meat options, great local bands, and a braai to rival the best in Texas! It will bring the community together in a safe, family-friendly environment while raising funds for Waterfront Rotary Club projects. 100% of all profits go to supporting humanitarian organisations and club service projects. Nothing is deducted for overheads or administration.
